amod is a Netgear DGND4000 Annex A firmware mod; among others, it includes:

• Busybox git, tcpdump, lua
• A more complete ash shell, bash and dash as system shell
• A telnet daemon that can be run at boot
• A print server based on p910nd
• ADSL SNR delta, transmission systems, ADSL options, four ADSL firmwares
• WiFi tx power for 2.4 and 5 GHz
• OpenVPN server and client
• dropbear ssh server
• Transmission, the torrent client
• The 4000 is now a full conntrack router
• Old applications bumped, with more secure versions
• More DDNS providers
• A more usable minidlna with the last ffmpeg libraries
• Boot, firewall, wan up/down and so on user hooks
• dnsmasq and ntpd, busybox or GNU version
• A complete upload and download limiter
• ext3 and ext4 USB partitions can be mounted
• squid, privoxy and tor proxies
• MODFS support, via bin image or ext3/4 partition
• Modern or classic html views
• And much much more

amod is based on the last DGND4000 Annex A Netgear official firmware 1.1.00.15 and it is created using the open source image creator by Netgear. It means you can modify amod in the same way amod was written modifying the original Netgear firmware.

amod was written by Alfonso Ranieri. The part he wrote is distributed under the terms of the GPL II. The rest of the firmware is copyright by Netgear and it is distributed under its terms.
