amod is a Netgear DGN3500 Annex A firmware mod; among others, it includes:

• IPv6
• Busybox git version
• a more complete ash shell, bash and dash, used as script shell
• a telnet daemon that can be run at boot
• a print server based on p910nd
• SNR, transmission systems, adsl options, four ADSL firmware modules that can be choosen by the user and much more
• OpenVPN server and client
• dropbear ssh server
• Transmission, the torrent client
• last nfts-ng system
• iftop, tcpdump, htop, and many many useful commands
• compatibily with Modfs, that can be mounted at boot, at USB insertion, (and also unmounted) on the fly

amod is based on Netgear DGN3500 firmware .34, but it uses firmware .30 North America web interface. The result is a very complete firmware, with a full firewall rules control. It contains the newest firewall user service, a faster status page and 3 adsl firmwares to choose among. Note that is can't be localized.

amod was written by Alfonso Ranieri. The part he wrote is distributed under the terms of the GPL II. The rest of the firmware is copyright by Netgear and it is distributed under its terms.
